It may have been a while since you were in the Whitworth. We thought you might like to be reminded of one of its hidden corners. Did you know that so much money was spent on making the Whitworth building beautiful, that there was not enough money to buy art? That's how the Friends of the Whitworth came about. Margaret Pilkington, the (unpaid) Director set up an organisation to raise money for the acquisition of works of art. That was in 1933. We have been hard at work ever since. Now, do the puzzle!

When you have completed each of the puzzles you will get other puzzle suggestions that are not from FOW but from Jigsaw Planet, the website facilitating the puzzles. Just click on the x to remove them and rearrange the pieces of your puzzle should you wish to start again with a different number of pieces.
We hope you will enjoy the puzzles at whatever challenge level you do them. Come back in the New Year and try a new selection!

Definately recommend starting with the staircase, even experienced jigsawers. The Anne Mackinnon image is hard!
