In recognition of her many years leading study tours for the Friends, the Trustees are delighted to report that Nirvana Romell has been made an Honorary Life Member of the Friends of the Whitworth.
Nirvana has been lecturing on the social history of Western art for nearly 25 years and she has presented numerous lectures to the Friends of the Whitworth as well as leading over a dozen of our tours.
Those who have travelled with Nirvana have been impressed by her expert knowledge and her capacity to explain things in an interesting way, her thorough research for any tour that she leads and her resourcefulness in dealing with issues that might arise during a tour.
The award of Honorary Membership indicates how much we value her contribution to the Friends.
