Sunday 29 September 2019: Project 6
Project 6 aims to promote the beauty and sound world of male-voice ensemble singing. The group perform Medieval and Renaissance to contemporary arrangements of folklore, R&B and jazz music.
Sunday 27 October 2019: Nexus Duo
Andrew Birse (violin) and Chloe Randall (cello) have played chamber music together since 2016. They present programmes including folk music from their homes in Scotland, baroque, romantic and 20th and 21st century works.
Sunday 17 November 2019: Chameleon Wind Quartet
An award-winning, woodwind quartet formed at the RNCM in 2016. With a unique sound the musicians often change instruments mid piece. Passionate about innovative music they make their own musical arrangements.
Sunday 1 December 2019: Apex Brass
From RNCM, Ben Jarvis and Tom Watts on Trumpet, Robert Mehlig on French Horn, Charlotte Horsfield on Trombone and Harry Beach on Tuba. Formed in October 2018 their first performance in June 2019 won the contest! Described as ‘stylish and convincing… showing depth, vitality and ensemble character’.
