J2Duo is an up-and-coming guitar duet from the North of England. Formed at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) at the beginning of 2023, J2Duo consists of Josh Hughes (Grimsby) and Joel Redfern (Doncaster) who are both fourth year undergraduate students under the tutelage of internationally renowned classical guitarist Craig Ogden.

With a vast variety of repertoire under their belts, the J2Duo perform works from notable composers such as Claude Debussy, Mario Tedesco, Johann Sebastian Bach and many others. The duo often perform pieces not originally composed for the guitar, demonstrating their skill and ability to bring a new dimension to the music they perform; with Joel himself occasionally arranging and transcribing pieces in an effort to expand the guitar's somewhat limited repertoire.

Both Josh and Joel frequently post to their own social media profiles on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook where they have collectively gained a quarter of a million views. The duet also frequently performs in the RNCM Concert Hall and Carol Nash Recital Room.
