Gustave Caillebotte is one of the less famous of the French Impressionists, but his 10 foot painting of Paris Streets in the rain is widely accepted as a masterpiece. We will be taking an in-depth look at what it tells us about Caillebotte’s artistic practice, Paris in a period of urban renewal and social change and why there is more than one way of doing art history. Come and join in the conversation on Zoom, Thursday 28th October 6pm to 7pm.
This is a free event but booking essential. To reserve your place, either email [email protected] or book online at this website using your membership login.
A link to Zoom will be sent by email on the day of the meeting.
P.S. On Wednesday 24th November our Look Club returns to the Gallery, more details on this site soon!
