An illustrated talk by Nicola Walker ACR former Head of Collections Care & Access at the Whitworth. Zoom event.
Nicola has worked in museums, libraries, art galleries and historic houses. While her conservation expertise is primarily as a paper conservator specialising in the conservation of fine art, her remit has widened to incorporate collection care covering a variety of materials.
Alongside her work as a conservation & collection care consultant, she is part of the National Trust's central conservation team, with responsibility for the conservation, care and provision of access to the Trust’s wide ranging book, paper and photographic collections. Working closely with other conservation and curatorial colleagues in the Curation & Experience Directorate, Regional Conservators and house staff at properties across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
