Focusing on Barry Finan’s 'YES I WANT TO DO TRRICKSSERRS', recently acquired by the Gallery with the help of the FoW and currently on display as part of Exchanges2, this will be a very special Look Club. It has been organised jointly by the Gallery and the FOW to celebrate the Friends' role in the acquisition of this and other works.
Starting at 5pm, we will be joined by Holly Grange, Whitworth curator and Amanda Sutton, Director of Venture Arts in Manchester who work with Barry, for a conversation about this joyful work. At the end of the Look Club at 6pm the Gallery invites you to join Amanda and Whitworth Director, Alistair Hudson for drinks in the South Gallery. Barry will be in the Gallery that evening and will be working on one of his written works. Listen to some music and take this opportunity, while Barry works on one of his pieces, to contribute to a written scroll to celebrate "Barry's Art Party.".
The Cafe in the Park will be open and, as usual, Look Club members are invited to join us from 7pm on a sharing table for coffee, a meal or something in between!
This is a FREE event.
