Patchwork quilts are fascinating items to study, with so many stories to be uncovered.
This textile workshop with Isobel Dibden Wright, who was for many years a tutor in textiles at MMU, focuses on patchwork will start by studying some of the pieces in the Whitworth’s excellent textile collection in the gallery Study Centre.
There will be time to make a small piece of hand sewn patchwork, which may be made into a pincushion, using pieces from the collection for inspiration.
Equipment: Please bring pins, needles and fabric scissors, if you have them. Fabrics and threads will be provided.
Further Details:
Cost per person: £10.00
Booking has now closed for this event.
Time: 1.30 - 4.30 (with time for a tea break)
