Marvolo Quartet: Isabella Baker and Jody Smith violin Natalia Senior-Brown viola Malcolm Goodare cello
Formed in 2015 at the Royal Northern College of Music, The Marvolo Quartet are a fresh, dynamic string quartet that are firmly establishing themselves in Manchester.
Passionate about a diverse variety of music, their highlights include performing at the sold-out 'Neon Sonnets' series at the John Ryland's Library as part of 'Manchester After Hours', and premiering two new compositions in the "Decontamination 7: Boulez / Bowie" concert at the RNCM last year.
In 2017 the Marvolo Quartet took part in the prestigious RNCM Chamber Music Festival 'Budafest', where they performed Kodaly's rarely-heard String Quartet No.2. They were also chosen to play a selection of Ravel works and new compositions, featuring as the string players in RNCM's Sinfonietta ensemble, where they performed in an RNCM lunchtime concert and a masterclass taken by Sir Mark Elder.
