28th November to 2nd December
Bookings are now requested for the Friend's 5 day/4 night trip to Germany, based in Cologne but including a full day in Dusseldorf, from 28th November and 2nd December this year. The cost will be £1280 per person including flights (single room supplement £210). There will be an option to travel by train, via London and Brussels, for those who prefer not to fly and the trip cost without flights is £1120 per person with individuals being responsible for booking train travel.
There are several excellent exhibitions to see during our tour, including -
- “SUSANNA- A Woman’s Image from the Middle Ages to MeToo” including works by Manet, Artemisia Gentileschi, Anthony Van Dyke and many others
- a special exhibition by Susanna Taras at the Cologne Museum of Applied Art
- a ‘blockbuster’ Mondrian exhibition in Dusseldorf.
The day in Dusseldorf includes an optional visit to Wuppertal to the excellent Von Der Heydt Museum , mainly famous for Pablo Picasso’s work and a trip on the oldest monorail system in the world!
As usual, there will be plenty of free time to explore the sights and visit the Christmas markets!
The Winter Tour to Germany will be accompanied by Nirvana Romell.
Full details of the tour have been sent to Friends. Bookings for the tour will be on a first come, first served basis and need to be made by 24th June 2022.
