Zorya Guitar Duo was formed in 2014 in Croatia while Borna and Antonio were studying at the Varazdin School of Music. As a duo they have performed in venues throughout Croatia and have participated in several regional competitions.
Borna Kuca was born in 1995 in Varazdin, Croatia. Inspired by his father, he started playing classical guitar at the age of nine at the prestigious Varazdin School of Music. He gained considerable experience as a soloist and chamber musician after participating in a number of music competitions in Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Serbia where he won first and second prizes, both as a soloist and as a part of the guitar duo. Borna is currently an undergraduate student at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, studying under the tutelage of the internationally renowned guitarist Craig Ogden.
Antonio Persak started playing classical guitar at the age of six, and his formal musical education began at the age of nine when he joined a music school in Croatia.
