Timothy Bingham, Lily Caunt and Jeremy Salter make up ‘Tula Flutes’. Currently in their second year of a Masters in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, all three players completed university degrees before meeting in their first year at the college. During their first year together they presented a concert in the RNCM’s ‘Spotlight’ series, took part in a special ‘after hours’ event at John Ryland’s Library and were finalists in the Trevor Wye Woodwind Prize at the RNCM. In their second year together Tula Flutes have continued to give recitals in and around Manchester. Their aim is to explore the little known repertoire for multiple flutes and they look forward to expanding the group, working with friends to compose new and interesting works for the ensemble.
